The longest castle in the world (≈ 0 km)

...is situated right in the middle of Burghausen (closest nontrivial town to Raitenhaslach).

...with its amazing scenery, boat trips, and very enjoyable hikes (ranging from less than an hour to multi-day tours) is definitely worth checking out.

Slightly less world-famous Chiemsee (≈ 50 km)

...is a great place for boat rides, visiting the "Herrenchiemsee" palace, or just chilling by the lake. Locals sometimes refer to this lake as the "Bavarian Sea" due to its sheer size.

The city of Salzburg (≈ 50 km)

...is not only Mozart's birthplace, but also contains plenty of other historic sites, museums, and all that. Also, let's not forget about the perks of Austrian food, coffee culture, and confectionary!

The so-called Eisriesenwelt (≈ 110 km)

...is (allegedly) the largest ice cave in the world and features a vast number of amazing naturally frozen ice structures. Note that the only way to access the cave is by booking a guided tour, which is not cheap, but worth it.
